I went last night with some of my best buds (pics above) to see U2 in 3D. Not only was it a good time with friends the experience of the concert in 3D was AMAZING (and you got to wear sweet 3D glasses)! I highly recommended going if it is showing in your town…We were all very excited about Semi-Pro coming out this week also…

I don’t know if you can tell (iphone camera isn’t the clearest) but the pictures above only contain little girls in ball gowns and their daddies in suits. There were no mommies there, and no grandmothers. Only men. Men who have recognized the importance they play in the lives of their daughters. This was my first Father/Daughter dance and most of the night I was fighting back tears. Not because of being there with Ella, although we had a great time, but because of watching these men put aside any ego or pride they have, get dressed up, and value their daughters by taking them to a dance. As I left I was filled with hope. Hope for the future of this young generation and the leadership they have in their homes. These kids have daddies who aren’t ashamed to proclaim the name of Jesus, won’t think twice about kneeling and praying with them, and will make their families a priority.
It could have been passed off as a “fun” night with my daughter but for me, it was an assurance that the future of the Church is resting on the shoulders of strong, humble, Godly men. Thank God…

I’m in a major season change right now. Ironic how my personal/spiritual change seems to be running parallel with the actual season change here in Charleston. The warmth of Spring starts in the next few weeks and The Lord gave me a word today that brought a lot of warmth to my spirit. Let me give you a short back story…
In June of last year the Lord gave us a word that we going to be “released” from our current season of ministry. We’ve really been in process of trying to discern where the Lord has us and as I sit here writing, we are still unsure. It’s been a long 8 months and yesterday I was having a “where are You Lord?” moment. Today during our staff prayer we had some time of silence and I felt lead to read Vicky Beeching’s Blog. It was the exact word I needed. Here’s what she posted…
————————————————————————————————————————————————-
“This is what the LORD says - He who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who conquered the chariots and horses to rescue His people: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland…I am doing a new thing”
I feel like for many people right now God is bringing to birth a new season of life…perhaps you have been through a long dark night? Perhaps its been a painful uphill struggle and you are longing for a new season to arrive?…
Just as surely as the wheel of the seasons turns, with Fall becoming Winter, and Winter becoming Spring, God WILL be faithful to the promises He has spoken to your heart. Your “Spring” is coming. Your healing, restoration and hope WILL come.

Is God good or what?

YES! Compassion International has sent 15 influential bloggers to Uganda. All of these bloggers have huge online communities and they are using their platform to spread the word about the sponsorship efforts in Uganda. Here are a few of the blogs that I’m following in support:
Ragamuffin Soul
Whittaker Women
Shaun Groves
I urge everyone who tunes into One Red Pilot, to do the same, follow and support a great cause. Spread the word to your friends and if the Lord moves in your heart…SPONSOR A CHILD!
