I apologize for my lack of posting. We moved all weekend and last week was a bit crazy. Fear not because I will be back on the wagon this week. I’m working through some things for a big post I’m really excited about so keep checking back. Few highlights from last week…
- found a permanent rehearsal site for James Island Campus worship team
- 2nd week of JI Campus we had 261 in attendance…awesome! (Worship Confessional coming soon)
- moved all of our stuff out of storage…tiring
-my wife has her very first personal art studio, I’m soooo proud!
God’s favor to you all ,

My 22 month old daughter has started singing…I love it! The only song she sings right now is “Jesus, Loves Me”. It sounds a little like this though…”Jeedus meee, byyy soo” , over and over again. She is a future worship leader, we just need to work on her phonetics.
proud,

I could go into all the details but our Executive Pastor Geoff Surratt did a way better job than I would ever do.

My daughter Ella is in this great phase right now. Her favorite thing to do is anything that’ll get my attention. She’ll always say “daddy watch” and then do some type of dance move or make a funny face. We have a laugh and about 30 seconds later we repeat the process. Nothing about this annoys me…I love every second, even after the 15th time in 10 minutes. The other night God hit me with something…
Do we live a life that we would say to Him…”Daddy watch!”?
2 Chronicles 16:9 says “For the eyes of The Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” God is searching for men and woman who will leverage it ALL to advance His kingdom. When He finds those people? Strong support from the Creator of the Universe!!! Not a bad deal huh? So, what’s our problem?
Let’s be honest, do you live a life that you would run into the eyesight of the Lord? As He is searching the earth would you run out waving your hands saying “God it’s me!! My heart is strong for You, my life is pure and solid for You!!!” Or, would you run and hide behind a rock? If I’m going to be honest…right now I’d probably go to run into His eyesight, second guess myself, and turn and hide. I don’t want to love Jesus that way. I don’t want to minister the Gospel always second guessing myself. I want to live a life that I am always asking my daddy to watch.
This is a gut check for me…how about you?

I’m trying to watch the 2 main sessions from New Spring’s UNLEASH conference and my upload speed is SO SLOW!! It’ll play for 5 minutes, freeze, I press pause, read notes from their breakouts, come back, press play…..it’s a vicious cycle.
irritated,

If you want to be inspired to make your faith in God a real thing for your LIFE, I charge you to set aside 40 minutes of your day, go HERE, and watch the “One Generation to Another” message. You’ll find it under “Media” then “Sermons”

It’s Easter week. This is the week where the whole Christian thing began really. I’ll take ya through Jesus’ week:
SUNDAY: Triumphal entry into Jerusalem (John 12:12-19)
MONDAY: Fig tree withers (Matthew 21: 18-21)/Jesus Clears the temple (Matthew 21:12-17)
TUESDAY: Authority of Jesus questioned (Matthew 21:23-27)/Jesus teaches in the temple (Matthew 21:28-23:29)/Jesus anointed (Matthew 26:6-13)
WEDNESDAY: Plot and betrayal against Jesus (Matthew 26:1-5, 14-16)
THURSDAY: The Last Supper (Matthew 26:17-30, John 13:1-38)/Jesus comforts the disciples (John 14:1-16:33)/Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46)
THURSDAY NIGHT AND INTO FRIDAY: Jesus’ arrest and trial (18:2-19:16)
FRIDAY: Crucifixion (John 19:17-30)/Burial (John 19:31-42)
SUNDAY: CHRIST IS RISEN!!! (John 20:1-25)
Quite the week huh!? Jesus’ life was important. His ministry was vital. His death was necessary. If it all stopped there Christianity would have never been birthed. Most likely Jesus would have been remembered as a great teacher/prophet, but then Sunday comes around and there’s an empty tomb. Jesus’ resurrection was and is VICTORY!
I pray your week isn’t focused on the death of Christ. Like I said, it was necessary for the atonement of our screw ups, but His resurrection means LIFE! It doesn’t stop at us just accepting Jesus’ death but believing and living in the resurrection life. I believe it will be a great disappointment if you go through your life not searching out the ABUNDANCE Christ came to give.
I pray THIS for you all,
Nate

My wife was out of town today. When I got home from work I had planned to do a big grocery trip to surprise her when she gets home. I won’t go into details but let’s just say I was there for almost 2 hours and leaving the store I had so much more love and respect for my sweet, patient, beautiful wife. Me+2 toddlers+Harris Teeter= more gray hairs wisdom…
if your married with kids…give your wife a day off immediately!!
